Fragrance

This fragrance is designed to provoke hysteria and irresponsible behavior. It is a tribute to absinthe, a controversial drink that was once banned due to a compound called thujone — a ketone containing THC, known for its aromatic green scent and for stimulating serotonin production. Used by soldiers during wartime for disinfection and stimulation, such hallucinogenic and psychoactive substances are also found in wormwood. As a component in some essential oils, thujone is also used in perfumery. As a young perfumer, the Nose would mix lab-found thujone into his absinthe to amplify the effects, seeking a different kind of intoxication — one of endless giggles and fits of hysterical laughter. Absinthe, also known as la fée verte (“the green fairy”), is a strong alcoholic drink from Switzerland that gained popularity among Parisian artists and writers in the 19th century. Traditionally green, it is an anise-flavored spirit made from herbs and medicinal plants. As a drink, it is also associated with bohemian culture. Absinthe is a scent inspired by escapism, carefree giggling and laughter, a delirious moment that helps forget problems and immerse oneself in joyful madness. The formula contains a certain amount of chlorophyll and natural ingredients that may alter the color of the liquid and form sediment over time if exposed to daylight. The cap of the bottle is made from thick olive wood. Finding suitable wood with the proper thickness for these caps required significant time and effort.
