Dominique is widely regarded as one of the finest specialists in the industry. His training began in Grasse under Roure Bertrand Dupont, continued in Paris, and culminated in collaboration with Jean‑Louis Sieuzac, whose remarkable encyclopedic knowledge of perfumery earned him a reputation as one of the greatest masters of the craft. Frédéric Malle worked with Dominique Ropion for more than 25 years and witnessed many of his long and meticulous experiments. This creation pays tribute to the power and beauty of the endless desert dunes and to the majestic light that emanates from them.
