Created by perfumers Karine Dubreuil-Sereni and Takasago, the scent is part of the Gentleman collection — inspired by the legendary figure of the House’s founder, Count Hubert de Givenchy. The fragrance opens with spicy notes of Indonesian nutmeg, uplifted by the aromatic freshness of clary sage and the piney, smoky accents of juniper berries. At the heart, the delicate powdery scent of French iris meets a captivating smoky-woody vetiver accord, blending three varieties: Haitian with nuances of Madagascan and Uruguayan vetiver, lactonic Australian sandalwood, and green floral notes of narcissus. The deep and magnetic base features the refined warmth of Bourbon vanilla absolute, a smoky blend of Bulgarian and South African tobacco, sensual leather notes, and the spicy-balsamic depth of Peruvian balsam.
