Composed by Jordi Fernández, Demon Dancer builds its identity around Akigalawood, used at a concentration far beyond its usual role in this type of composition. The material establishes an immediate woody depth, while Ambrox extends its diffusion and Tonka Bean adds warmth without fully softening its character. Against this dense foundation, Rhubarb and Blackcurrant are more than simple accents. Their acidity resurfaces throughout the composition, creating a deliberate contrast with the woody warmth rather than dissolving into it. Musk completes the structure by sharpening its edges while preserving this underlying tension. The fragrance does not seek balance; instead, it holds two opposing forces in constant tension. This lack of resolution is what makes Demon Dancer distinctive. Most amber-woody compositions seek to dissolve their fruity facets into the dominant accord, creating a single, homogeneous impression. Here, Rhubarb and Blackcurrant retain their individual presence from beginning to end, preventing Akigalawood from ever fully settling.
