The history of Moncler began in the town of Monestier-de-Clermont in the French Alps in 1952. Ski equipment manufacturer René Ramillon and skier André Vincent created a down jacket model of optimal size, designed to retain heat without excess weight. Moncler jackets became popular among the residents of the Alps, skiers, and mountaineers, and with the growing popularity of winter sports, they gained favor with European celebrities. Today, the Milan-based fashion house produces not only its signature women's and men's down jackets but also winter clothing, children's lines, casual wear, ski apparel, accessories, and footwear. The combination of various wool textures, materials, and fabrics, along with a wide range of colors and patterns, allows individuals to emphasize their unique style in any weather.
