Kenzo is a French fashion house with a Japanese perspective on beauty. Its story began in 1970 when Kenzo Takada released his first collection, surprising the Parisian audience with ethnic motifs, free and voluminous silhouettes, and vibrant fabrics. Gaining international fame, the Japanese designer launched his own brand in 1976, and in 1987, his first fragrance. Kenzo introduced Europe to fashion that evokes a sense of unlimited freedom and lightness, achieved by rejecting hardware and strict silhouettes. The brand gained worldwide recognition with its fragrance, Kenzo, which was the first to present men’s and women’s perfumes with fresh, marine scents. Since 2019, the traditions of the founder have been carried on by couturier Felipe Oliveira Baptista.
